80's Prom..

Its Finally Friday and its a 3 day weekend!!!

What amazing plans do you guys have for the 4th of July weekend? I have no plans except for one or two late night cookouts, its still Ramadan and no turn up till Ramadan is officially over on the 5th or 6th of July. I cannot wait to hear/read the amazing stories you all have from the weekend!

I love this dress as well and I bought it the same day I got the dress from the previous post 4 years ago and I'm pretty sure this dress was someone's prom dress from the 80's. Do you guys think I'm right? One of my friends cannot believe I will not be reconstructing the dress which was the initial plan (remove the bow, and turn the dress into a tube dress with a sweetheart neckline). Am I crazy for loving this dress as is?

Happy Hump day Lovelies, two more days to Friday but who's counting!!

I've had this Jcrew pant for a while, Bisola and I bought it together (she wore her's here), I never wore mine because everything I tried it with never felt right. While I was sorting my swimsuits, I came across this cover up I also got from Jcrew and as they say the rest is history.. What do you guys think of my combo??

Thank God it's almost Friday! 

I fell in love with this dress when I saw it at the store, it looked so effortless and I just had to have it. When I was buying it, my friends thought I was crazy and I quote "it looks like a ugly sack & you'll look pregnant in it" but I just had to have it regardless and I'm happy I did.

Hey Guys, Happy Friday! 

Hope everyone had a great week thus far? I'm having a great time here, the weather is sunny and nice. I know a lot of people on the east coast are getting ready for a snow storm the prediction in Baltimore is between 18-20 inches of snow and 50 miles per hour wind. Dammie is getting ready for the storm but she doesn't believe it's going to be bad, I guess she hasn't gotten the memo.

This outfit to me is a cross between two cultures. The fabric of the dress is African print and the style of the dress reminds me of a Kimono.

Almost over..

Hope everyone is having a great week so far! 

For me, this week has been hectic. Going back to work after taking the last two weeks of the year off isn't my idea of fun. My sleep pattern is ruined, getting up in the morning is a chore, and I only survived this week because of caffeine thank God the week is almost over!!

 Thought I’d do a quick post before my errands… I love this layered look, wearing the BF’s old pants, and a vintage coat/wrap dress I bought a while back…. 

I was up all night taking out my braids, and Lil’ Sis hooked me up this morning. I wish I could take her on every trip, so my hair can always look and feel this good. When it comes to hair, I’m very impatient – I legit oil and brush my hair, that’s it (she tells me “you’re not a white girl, you can’t be doing that” no pun intended)

Last Min

Decided to post this last minute, was so mad when I got the photos and realized there was no full body shot who does that!  The sweater is men’s in a small size, so comfortable and soft, wore it shopping all day with without a coat. How’s the holiday shopping? I get very impatient in traffic, but for some reason the traffic around this time feels different, it’s just something about the holidays….. I bet y’all agree!!!!
